Folk Tales as Spiritual Guidance for Today with Allan Hunter

Why should we care about Fairy tales and folk tales? The Grimm brothers were meticulous in collecting their tales, and yet Disney and others have shamelessly softened and altered the core of these great stories. In the process the spiritual values have been lost – and so tales that were once filled with meaning have become entertainments for seven-year olds. We can, if we know what to look for, find this spiritual core, and be enriched by it. Of particular interest is the concept of the six archetypes of human development, which are evident in the tales, and which are powerful sign posts of spiritual development, available to us all, if we care to look! 

Allan Hunter’s work explores the intersections of literature, memoir-writing, ancient wisdom, and the ways of the heart.He has spent much of his professional life exploring how literature and story-telling (including soap operas) tap into the deep and unarticulated needs of society, and especially the ways of the heart. It is from these powerful influences that we shape our lives and ultimately our destiny. He is a professor of Literature and a counselor, with a doctoral degree from Oxford University. British by birth, he traveled extensively in Europe, India, Africa, and Peru before settling in Boston, Massachusetts.

Thomas Looney's "Shakespeare Identified."  Prior to the appearance of this book, many people had doubts about attributing the world's most revered canon of literature to the man from Stratford, but they did not know who wrote the endearing plays, poems and sonnets.  Looney gave us a name and presented convincing evidence.  "Identified" is a remarkable early work on profiling.  It will also be featured at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on March 4, 2020.  The book's punctuation and grammar have been updated, and the bibliography has been greatly expanded.  We will be changing history tonight!!!!

Sea monsters, the Cockaponset Carvings and Lovecraft with Dave Goudsward

Historian, cryptozoologist and science writer DAVE GOUDSWARD joins us for a review of a few of his upcoming publications and New England speaking tour.   Dave has a wide variety of publications on the Westford Knight, New England's megalithic sites and several on the paranormal.  We'll also be looking at patterns found in the study of sea monsters.  His latest book examines the lakes and rivers in the southeastern states.  We will also learn about recently extinct marine mammals and review some mariner's documentations. The True Purposes of the pyramids with Dr. Sam Osmanagich

Dr. Sam Osmanagich has authored 11 books about ancient civilizations and has narrated a 12-episode documentary “Search for Lost Civilization” for the state Bosnian television.  In 2005, “Dr. Sam” discovered what turned out to be the first pyramids in Europe near the town of Visoko,  in Bosnia. In 2008, Dr. Osmanagich hosted an archaeological conference in Sarajevo which fueled controversy about his discovery dividing the archaeological community. Excavation on this vast complex has been ongoing and run by his nonprofit Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation since 2006 compiling more and more evidence to validate his claims. To date the excavation has yielded 5 pyramids of various sizes as well as a vast labyrinth of underground tunnels and a pyramid that is 30% larger than the largest structure on the Giza Plateau.  Dr. Sam is principal investigator of this project which has yielded some of the pioneering electromagnetic measurements in the pyramids. He is known worldwide as an expert on pyramids and has investigated the sites of pyramidal structures in China, Mauritius, Canary Islands, Egypt, Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Bolivia, Honduras, Mexico and many more.
