Rochelle started dreaming about a friend she hadn't spoken with in years, and to her great surprise she discovered that the dreams accurately described his life: his impending marriage, the birth of his daughter, his daughter's name. One time she even shared a dream with his wife. As the interview unfolds she reveals these aren't the only extraordinary dreams she's had, and her view of life and the world has changed because of them.

Architect and city planner RICHARD THORNTON returns to discuss his latest publication "Native American Encyclopedia of Georgia."  We will be examining thousands of years of ancient engineering feats (Kolomoki Mounds), biographies of chiefs (Osceola), and the evolution of Native languages.  Many root words have connections to Central American words.  We will look at Old World words and rituals that appear in Native customs.  Why was Georgia an international destination?  We will also discuss de Soto's observations of his travels throughout the South.  Richard's book contains many computer graphics that depict the layouts of the villages.  This is American history we were not taught.

Baseball History - Leon Day

Baseball history!  A rebroadcast from our archives in the midst of our campaign to get Leon Day (1916-1995) into the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, February 1992.  We are joined by Leon Day, and Leon’s teammate and Hall of Famer Monte Irvin (1919-2016) in hour two, as well as historian and SABR member Todd Bolton. Several manufacturers of replica Negro Leagues jerseys and pennants and cards joined in to present their specialized gifts to Leon for him to wear during his “Leon Day Day” at the Mayor’s and Governor’s offices, and when we took him to the White House.
