The tomb of OsirisWe traveled to the tomb of Osiris which has not really been discovered yet though it is suspected to be in the area that was indicated for us. There were many different levels and some passages that were still filled with rubble. Campbell’s tomb located 30 meters directly behind the Sphinx. Discovered in 1837 it was first noted as the tomb of Osiris but called Campbell’s Tomb. So noted as the larger yellow square in this Giza map location it is surrounded by numerous shafts associated with ancient temple complex of the area concerning 12th, 13th and 19th Dynasty Egypt, the last great Egyptian culture when the entire Giza Plateau temples were restored. A great King was once buried in this Campbell’s tomb location. There is speculation that it was the second of the two (2) Kings that built the Great Pyramid.
