DR. ALLAN HUNTER returns to continue the discussion on the educational value of folklore. We will examine samples from Shakespeare, Washington Irving and a few examples from medieval literature. Of course, our focus will be on the Grimm Brothers' "Fairy Tales." What is the symbolism of the settings such as the deep, dark woods? What about Grimms' use of twins, birth order and family dynamics? Those topics had an impact on our development. Throughout about the thousand years of these tales being recorded, what are they telling us? What can we learn from the archetypes? Dr. Hunter will reveal the central message is "psychic healing."
